pretty much the greatest ruller england ever had. when she became queen in 1558, she was only twenty-five years old. she was only the third queen to rule england in her own right. elizabeth (1533-1603) was resourceful, determined and wise. she was intelligent and loved learning. she was glamorous, flirtatious and charismatic. she ruled alone for nearly half a century, lending her name to a glorious epoch in world history. a really great movie is “elizabeth” where cate blanchett made her big break and received an academy award nomination for best actress for her performance in the 1998 film . its sequel, “the golden age”, is coming out 2007.
queen elizabeth i is pretty darn kick -ss.
