i don’t really feel like explaining his lifestory but i’ll tell you this, unlike edward cullen from twilight, eric is a bad-ss motherf-cker! he’s arrogant, confident, witty, and a douchebag but it’s what makes him f-cking awesome. he also dresses well. he just oozes of coolness. loves to wear leather jackets.

one of the only dudes who can wear flip-flop with jeans, a v-neck t-shirt and not look like a flaming f-ggot.

can be put in the same category as jason staham when it comes to the few men that it is okay for straight men to have a crush on.

eric northman is a 1000 year old vampire played by alexander skarsgård in the hbo series, true blood. he is the sheriff of area 5 in louisiana, a position of great power in the vampire community, and he owns a vampire bar called fangtasia in shreveport. he was a viking in his human life before the vampire g-dric found and turned him.

eric is typically perceived as somewhat of a “bad boy”. he is confident, arrogant, powerful and decietful. he is often accused of caring about no one but himself, although we later find that he does care and feel emotion for others. in addition, he is incredibly good looking and, frankly, s-xy as h-ll. as far as personality goes, we see a different and softer side of eric when his maker, g-dric, comes into the picture. although he’d like to pretend otherwise, its obvious eric really loves and cares about g-dric. when he finds out g-dric has gone missing, he travels to dallas, texas and uses sookie stackhouse’s telepathic abilities to locate him. after the fellowship of the sun’s terroristic attacks, we see just how much g-dric means to eric in the heart wrenching, emotional scene of g-dric’s suicide.

eric northman is a book character from the sookie stackhouse novels, written by charlaine harris. contrary to popular belief, the original character was not created by g-dric, but by appius livius ocella, who lured eric to the side of the road and turned him into a vampire. eric is over 1000 years old, and is the area five sheriff, which means he has authority over all vampires living in the area. though eric appears to have no human left in him at all, he is actually quite humorous. eric does have the ability to love as well, though he has a hard time expressing how he feels. when he was a mortal he was married to his brother’s widow, aude. the couple had 6 children together, but only 3 survived. in his immortal life, his mortal wife and children long gone, he tricks sookie stackhouse into marrying him.
