a falcon rimshot is a percussion technique. it is a regular rimshot with unregular charicteristics.the hand come over the head at a rapid speed and flys toward the drum mostly breking the skin of the drum(and sometimes your fingers) but to use this technique takes years of practice . also one side affect may be major burns to the hands
