a quote, colloquialism, or aphorism that at first seems inspiring or informative, but actually has no substance and is used just to portray a certain image or create an impression. examples include, “live, laugh, love”, “dance like n-body’s watching” or any test over a black and white image most commonly found on tumblr, instagram or the facebook pages of girls and women aged 14-28.
