a christian organization based in colorado springs that was founded by dr.james dobson. when their m-ssive “complex” was built, they “forgot” to pay one of their workers, resulting in an armed stand off. typical of other large christian organizations based in cs (see also: new life church) they mouth the words of peace while teaching hate and intolerance. dr. dobson has been featured on various national news programs usually spreading his narrow minded views on (pick one or more) h-m-s-xuality, atheism, how satan is real, drug use, pre-marital s-x, how the republicans are truly the blessed of god, how democrats are sp-wn of satan, pro-life, how killing abortion doctors is ok etc. etc. focus on the family is responsible for pumping millions into republican coffers, doing slander ads against their opponents, all as a “non-profit” company. like most such organizations their sprawling compound is located on prime real estate and their governing board pulls down more than most corporate ceos. while their workers are your standard disfunctional underpaid religious zealot, who believes that it’s ok to beat the wife, ignore the kids, have an affair etc. as long they go to church on sunday and drag their family along, they will be completely forgiven. thus a vicious circle continues. a bullsh-t spewing corporate ent-ty of “christians” who are really slaves to the republican agenda to destroy america, promote bigotry (for all members of fotf who are reading this, a bigot is a racist moron, just thought you might want to know), return the world to the political and social system of the middle ages, and a return to the old “men first, women last” ideals of old. and they are like most republicans: unable to defend themselves when called out on their (pick one) racism, h-m-phobia, love of dictatorships (i’m not kidding, look at their review of mirror’s edge), and intolerance of “swearing.”

an organization filled with deluded sh-t heads who think freedom of religion (by which they only mean christianity) is an absolute right that trumps all other basic human rights. they condemn anything contrary to or not in accordance with their beliefs because what they believe is more important than what anyone who has the slightest grip on reality believes. they b-tch and moan at any social progress unless of course it is to their own selfish benefit (in which case i would hesitate to even call it progress). i cannot wait for the day when this organization shuts down.
