fool in the rain is a song from led zeppelin’s final studio alb-m, in through the out door in 1979. in 1980, it reached #21 on the pop singles charts. this song has always been very popular with fans of the band.
the chorus of the song is “light of the love that i found”
well there’s a light in your eye that keeps shining
like a star that can’t wait for the night
i hate to think i’ve been blinded baby
why can’t i see you tonight? -fool in the rain
one who is waiting to meet someone, but is waiting in the wrong spot. see fribley accident.

this is an allusion to the led zeppelin song “fool in the rain”
i thought she was late, but i was just a fool in the rain.
