foow, face out of window, (pr-nounced fooo), an acronym used to notify someone in chat/im session you are still there but will be temporarily looking at another window on your computer.
i made this up to use instead of away from keyboard afk because i’m not away from my computer and will return to the chat session shortly.
i’m discussing an article with someone in chat, and i want to give them the web link, so i type:
“hold on, getting link, foow”
and they understand i’m away from the chat window and will be back in a minute.
