freestyle cypher
an updated version of the “soul train.” dancers form a circle or “u” shape on the dance floor and a person dances free-form in the middle for a minute or so. dancers succeed one another without more than a few seconds’ gap in between.
none of the locals wanted to join in the freestyle cypher b/c the dancers were so good.
