fry’s reagent
a mixture composed of hydrochloric acid, copper (ii) cloride, ethanol and water. it’s used by forensic scientists for certian etchings and to corrode away certian metals.
composition of fry’s reagent:
30 ml h2o
40 ml hcl
25 ml ethanol
5 g cucl2
a mixture of copper chloride and hydrochloric acid.
hmm well i’m not quite sure what it does exactly, go look it up if you really need to know.
