garbage yards
in football yards that come in junk time when a team is losing by a lot of points late in a game and has no chance to comeback. this is because the team that is winning plays prevent so anything short is wide open. these yards mean nothing to the game and just pad stats.
person 1:”wow that quarterback had 400 yards p-ssing what a day”
person 2: ” his team lost 48-24 those yards came in junk time when the game was all ready decided. they were garbage yards.”
