glassell park
one of los angeles’ older neighborhoods. a small community in north east los angeles with a large latino population and industial corridor along san fernando road. san fernando, on the outskirts of the neighborood runs parallel with the union pacific railroad. it is a quiet area but also has some gang activity including that of the avenues, a lagely latino gang. its two claims to fame are the gl-ssell park recreation center and the fact that it was plagued by landslides from rainfall during the 2004-05 winter
