hipster lesbians are girls that identify as lesbians, because being straight is ‘too mainstream.’ these girls are usually heteros-xual, but act as lesbians for attention (mostly from men) or to stand out from the crowd.

guy 1: “are you guys lesbians?”
girl 1: “totally.”
girl 2: “being straight is so what everyone else does.”
girl 1: “yeah, it’s so mainstream.”
the girls walk away.
guy 1: “dude, they were weird!”
