housism
discrimination against a member of a house (hufflepuff, ravenclaw, gryffindor, slytherin), usually hateful language used by a member of a different house. often is used to show supposed superiority between houses.
by calling his friend a dumb hufflepuff, harry was showing a level of housism not tolerable at hogwarts.
