b-ssist/backing vocalist for norwegian symphonic black metal band dimmu borgir. i don’t see how people seem to notice only sh-grath and silenoz when vortex (in my opinion one of the best vocalists and b-ssists in the history of the universe) plays just as much of a part of the band as both of them. normally plays a bc-rish warlok b-ss and sings cleanly, unlike sh-grath. also looks fairly different to the other memebers of the band, since he doesn’t have black hair (it’s blonde) and wears very little corpsepaint (normlly just paints his face white).
listen to “progenies of the great apocalypse” or “kings of the carnival creation” for the best examples of his vocals. “sympozium” and “allehelgens dod i helveds rike” are also fairly great. ics vortex is my god.
