infignacious
saying something that you don’t whole-heartedly belive in or mean. similar to “tarofe” used in farsi, infignacious describes when someone says one thing, but they mean another. this condition may describe a situation where someone is too shy, or trying to be very polite about an offer given.
nima is an infignacious young man, he was offered a plate of kh-r-sht, but said “no thank you, i’m not very hungry” even though he hadn’t ate in hours! what a polite gentleman. -wink wink-
