Ironic Racism
making a joke about racism that is supposed to be witty and modern, but actually supports racism by dehumanizing a particular race for a laugh.
some person: did you hear about that party someone threw where a bunch of white college student dressed up in blackface? it was hilarious!
some person 2: eddie izzard is hilarious… that party was just another example of ironic racism.
when a white guy gets in trouble for being racist, then a black guy gets away with it because african americans “have been through alot” and society feels they should. almost like how if an all-white commercial with no blacks is considered racist, but an all black commercial is considered ok. or like if a white guy calls an african american a “n-gg-r” he gets in trouble, but if an african american calls a white guy a “cracker,” it is ok. racism is stupid, for both sides.
white: you n-gg-r!
society: you racist b-st-rd!
black: motherf-cking cracker.
society: tell him who’s boss.
latino: what ironic racism we have here…
