kabki
kabki comes from the persian word kabk (or kaw in kurdish) which describes a species of birds known in english as chukar – partridge. these birds are found predominantly around the mountainous regions of kurdistan.
kabki is most often used as a surname. those -ssociated with the name are descendants from a well admired and talented hunter in the region of musalan, a kurdish village in northwestern iran. he was praised for his distinct eye sight and his ability to hunt animals from afar using a riffle without a scope.
