paperback novels in the exploitation genre, first published in the 1950s and 1960s, about torrid lesbian romances that typically didn’t end well (or ended with the female protagonist reverting to a heteros-xual relationship). covers were usually campy and t-tillating. also referred to as “lesbian pulp fiction.” this definition is a portmanteau, combining lesbian with blaxploitation.
lesbo lodge, honey lips, and other ‘lesbian pulp fiction’ novels are fine examples of lesbiaxploitation.
