the myth that the ability to be “numerate” and the ability to be logical are intimately related—without math, one is an “illogical” person.
a “numerate person” is expected to solve these questions: 1) how fast does human hair grow in miles per hour? 2) how many people die on earth each day? doesn’t all this sound like preaching a logimeracy gospel?
