Looking Flash
a twist on book t-tle “beyond the looking gl-ss,” the term refers to the reflection of the camera flash that occurs when someone takes a self portrait while holding the camera up in the mirror. the flash reflects off the mirror and becomes the dominant subject. these cliché self-portraits are used excessively on social networking profiles.
alice tried to take a picture of herself in the mirror, but only ended up with another looking flash.
