modeterranean is a plain modern home that the builder has installed a red tile roof and phony arches to advertise it as a mediterranean style
a moditerranean design is any building design that purports to be mediterranean, but in fact is a box with a red tile roof and cr-ppy looking arches at the entry. sometimes with added bars on the windows. it is neither modern or mediterranean, therefore it can only be called a modeterranean.
