Mostography
a mostography is a collection of releases by an artist or band that is missing a few of them. it might be missing a hard to find early demo or a promotional cd in limited circulation.
the term comes from ‘discography’ which is used to describe a ‘release’ of all the works of a musical group in one package to the internet community.
bmfan1 – “did that mayhem discography finish downloading?”
bmfan2 – “well, yeah…but it was missing the pfa rehearsal so it’s a mostography …i’ll have to find it somewhere else”
bmfan1 – “oh that’s too bad. i hate it when people call stuff a discography when it isn’t!”
