Munising
std’s run rampant. everyone thinks they are “gangsters” “thugs” or “rappers” (none of the ‘rappers’ have any real talent.) crime rate is high. so are most of the people who live here. extreme addictions to drugs, alcohol and s-x are very common
commonly referred to as m-town or m-bay west

a small town in the upper peninsula of michigan. on the outside it may seem like a tourist’s dream town; small, removed, beautiful. but don’t be fooled. hidden not-so-far underneath the breath-taking scenery lies an evil, evil place.
once a locality of peace and community, munising has long since been sucked dry of anything good. no longer is mining the life source of munising. slanderous gossip is the blood that pumps from the dysfunctional heart. now the town sits decrepit and rotten across from grand island in delusions of grandeur.
the area is populated with redneck people unaware of the real world. etiquette and manners are looked upon with disgusted faces. illegitimacy, infidelity, jealousy, and hypocrisy are the norms and people do not even bat an eye at drug addictions, drinking problems, criminal records, corruption, and abuse.
the high school is extremely biased and filled to the max with s-x offenders and probably a communist. it snuffs out any creativity and individuality a student may possess by eliminating art/music programs to make room for sports. hate is so abundant there that it is unsafe to step out of the status quo or try to be successful.
munising is a vacuum that most people will never escape from.
as in any place, there are some really great people here. it is just hard to find the gems among the pebbles.
if you are looking for a place to raise a family…drive away very fast. this isn’t the place you are looking for.
citizen 1: “did you hear about the new m-town gang beating up that one kid?”
citizen 2: “yeah, he’s in the munising hospital. sucks to be him. let’s get a beer.”
