negaucheiation
left-handed negotiating. usually “negotiators” have
most or all of the power. there’s a word in spanish,
“recatado”. it’s the same as “demure”, only now i’m
embar-ssed.
i tried to negaucheiate with my boss, the woman
superintendent. i told her, look, i’ll clean the
kitchen or the bathroom, con mucho gusto, as long
as i don’t have to clean the attic.
