NSAID
non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, usually abbreviated to nsaids, are drugs with -n-lgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects – they reduce pain, fever and inflammation. the term ‘non-steroidal’ is used so the difference between these drugs and steroidal drugs with similar properties is distinguishable.
nsaids are unusual, as they are non-narcotic.
everyone has heard of these kinds of drugs, they just may not have known it.
ibuprofen, aspirin, and acetaminophen are the most common types of nsaids.
