the most famous street in singapore, where locals go there for window shopping, and wealthy tourists shop there until they drop, mostly buying things they don’t need to show off to relatives and friends at home.
orchard road is a cool place for time-rich, cash-poor teenagers to hang around, by getting a close view of the haves and the have-nots in cosmopolitan singapore, and by trying to figure out why every one in six residents in the city-state is a millionaire.
