original sin
christianity’s method for getting their hooks into you the second you are born. gets parents to rush to the church with a fat check to wash all the naughty badness clinging to their child.
being human is sinful, living is sinful, breathing is sinful. the only thing that isn’t sinful is doing and believing everything your religious leaders tell you. actually, you’ll probably screw that up too.
believer: you can’t get an abortion. you are killing an inocent child.
non-believer: what about original sin? the fetus is rotten with the taint of adam and eve’s disobedience. h-ll, that fetus doesn’t even believe in jesus.
believer: the child must live so we can indoctrinate it into a confused cycle of self-loathing and smug righteousness.
the christian belief that mankind exists in a fallen state, in a fallen world due to sin committed prior to our births into the material world. in the case of christianity, this sin would be adam and eve disobeying g-d and eating from the forbidden tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
it is the goal of every human being to learn what is right, become a moral agent and save himself through virtuous action.
we are all born with original sin.
the sin that was committed in the garden of eden by adam and eve. eve picked of the fruit of the tree of knowledge and evil and ate of it with her husband, adam. forget all the lies that the catholic church teaches, baptism by water from a priest to a baby does not, i repeat does not!!! get rid of original sin, if this were the case, humans afterwards would not be born with this stain and then we would be sinless. only cure for this is the atonement of our lord and savior, jesus christ of nazareth. being a changed (born-again) person and at physical death, if we have truly believed in his redeeming power over us and learned to forgive everyone, as jesus did, will we be free of this stain and enter into the kingdom of our heavenly father, yahweh.
original sin is what caused adam and eve to through away paradise in their physical life, this caused them to be cursed more than the animals by the lord, yahweh. this also causes all the other sins in the world and it has caused alot of evil in our world.
