post screamo
post screamo: an unofficial definition for bands which draw influence on both screamo and modern melodic post hardcore. a good example of a post screamo band would be alexisonfire or early material from fear before the march of flames. these bands are clearly neither screamo or post hardcore but are a mixture between the two.
the debut full length from alexisonfire clearly combines common elements found in screamo (chaotic starts and stops, vocal driven songs) as well as elements from post hardcore (harmonized guitars, melodic sung vocals) therefore this must be post screamo.
