pseudo-emo

somebody who pretends to be emo, or makes up false stories about their sucky life. usually tend to be 12-14, but there are numerous pseudo-emos who can be found in a higher age range. in difference to someone who actually has something like depression, or a disorder that singles them out, pseudo-emos act solely for attention.
teenager 1: joe told me his dad beat him last night so he cried so hard and then cut his wrists!
teenager 2: yeah, too bad i’ve known joe since he was five and his dad is really nice. and his wrists look very untouched for something that happened last night. he’s just the cl-ssic pseudo-emo kid.
