pun war
when you’re commenting puns back and forth with people on social media sites, blogs, comments, etc. specifically competing to try and “out-pun” the other commentators.
i was in such a huge pun war with that girl on twitter. i couldn’t lose because that would be an upsetting “pun”-ishment.
