pwnes is an internet gaming expression for getting your behind kicked by another gamer. the term “pwnes” is a variation of “ownes”, wich means that when you win a game ..you “own” it. or when you are doing very well….you “own” the other players. the letters “o” and “p” are right next to each other on the keyboard, and the story goes that in the speed and fury of gaming and typing messages……the letter “p” gets h-t a lot…..and so the misspelled term “pwnes” stuck with gaming groups.
