a gripe or complaint usually uttered by an adult when he or she has not gotten his or her way. the state of self-inflicted dissatisfaction with one’s own life, commonly communicated to anyone with a willing ear.
origin: the sound a southern infant cries when he or she is dissatisfied.
chuck: rihanna hasn’t spoken to me since i accepted the marketing job in the cayman islands.
