refrenese

a spin on the words chinese and j-panese, refrenese (pr-nounced refrineeze) is the random interjection of pop culture such as movie lines and music lyrics into conversation. the lines must fit in with what is being said and seem to be just a normal part of the dialogue.
gabe: i asked that hot blonde chick out yesterday.
victor: ya? how’d that go?
gabe: dude. she completely shot me down.
victor: i am jack’s complete lack of surprise.

(in this example, victor is using refrenese to comment on gabe’s tendency to be shot down by refrencing the famous line in the popluar movie fight club)
