Rentrat
a rent fan who, back in the day, spent hours waiting online to get $20 front row tickets to see the show. tickets were given on a first come basis, so you had to be there really early in the morning, and you purchased the tickets around 6pm. now replaced with a ‘lottery’, which only requires you to show up 2 hours early and numbers/names are drawn from a hat. a true rentrat sat four hours in the extreme cold, the extreme heat, the rain, the snow, etc., all for the love of the show.
tourist: “look at those poor homeless kids.”
rentrat: “we’re not homeless, we’re rentrats.”
