used on online forums, refers to when a person gets upset at something and goes through and edits their posts, removing everything they’re saying and replacing it with a period, leaving sh-lls of the conversation for people to guess at. sometimes is done when the person is publicly humiliated, but more often is done when a person simply wants to erase their existance from the forum and have nothing to do with it any longer.
named after a person who did it and removed over 1000 posts in a single thread.
after he got embar-ssed from his history being dug up on the internet, he decided to roiderize all his posts, removing all traces of everything he said. all that remains now are a couple posts from him that were quoted in other people’s posts.
