rootstep
subgenre of dubstep that emphasizes the origins of the genre, primarily it’s jamaican influences. rootstep is known for it’s concentration on sub b-ss lines, a 2-step drum pattern, and a 140 bpm. it is often times distinguished by it’s tribal sound as it tends to stray away from the influences of electro and other popular dance music.
