Safari (web browser)
safari is a web browser, released as a public beta on january 7, 2003. it is included in the mac os x and ios operating systems, and was able to be downloaded on windows starting june 11, 2007. safari was available on the iphone starting june 29 of the same year.
safari is currently the most popular mobile browser, with 62% of users using it.
other competing browsers are internet explorer, firefox, google chrome and opera.
not to be confused with a safari, a type of overland journey.
