save a dinosaur
a way of expressing one’s desire to reduce the use of plastic items. this is an equivalent to ‘save a tree,’ based upon the premise that plastic is derived from oil, which of course is the result of decomposed prehistoric organic matter such as dinosaurs, just as paper is derived largely from trees and tree products.
