“les schtroumpfs” was a belgian comic by peyo that hannah barbara bought and made into a cartoon, translating the t-tle as smurfs. smurf sounds so stupid, so never use that word! always say schtroumpf. it’s ten letters long, but only one syllable, pr-nounced: sh’t’
in the comic, the schtroumpfs replace random verbs, nouns, and adverbs with schtroumpfer, schtroumpf, and schtroumpfement.
