go-kart made with an engine from a motocross motorcycle (moto, typ. honda cr125) or a purpose built shifter motor known as an icc.
shifter karts are characterized by insanely fast acceleration and extreme cornering ability. surpringly inexpensive to purchase, they are a little-known secret to developing true driving ability. virtually all drivers in every racing series ran a shifter kart at some point and most continue to as it’s the best training method available.
i love racing guys that think their cars are fast, my shifter kart can run rings around any car on the road today.
