when someone gets involved with a certain group of people without actually knowing any of them or without having a previous contact with any member of that group.

after charlie mentioned elliot’s job, elliot immediately shuffled him into silence.
meaning that at a party if he/she got with a lot of girls/boys, they got shuffled.
ex. “man, josh got shuffled last night.”
“omg! kelsey got shuffled last night!”
