primarily a noun but can be used as a verb; the act of violently and audibly inhaling of a beverage, best used for carbonated beverages like soda or beer, but also appropriate for water, juice, mixed drinks, etc. most likely has routes from the verb “slug”
i was on the phone with john explaining what happened but i was distracted by the obnoxious sluggle.
