socialcast

socialcasting is the process by which news travels from first person witnesses to their friends, followers, or members of their network through social media channels such as facebook, twitter, or linkedin.

socialcasting may or may not occur simultaneously with other forms of m-ss communication such as television broadcasting.
instead of relying on traditional sources, bbc news anchors are starting to turn to socialcasting to identify stories as they emerge.
