somaliland (somali: soomaaliland, arabic: أرض الصومال‎ arḍ aṣ-ṣūmāl) is an unrecognised self-declared sovereign state that is the successor state to the british somaliland protectorate.

somaliland is bordered by ethiopia in the south and west, djibouti in the northwest, the gulf of aden in the north, and the autonomous puntland region of somalia to the east.

in 1988, the siad barre regime committed m-ssacres against the people of somaliland, which were among the events that led to the somali civil war. the war left the economic and military infrastructure severely damaged. after the collapse of the central government in 1991, the local government, led by the somali national movement (snm), declared independence from the rest of somalia on may 18 of the same year.

somaliland ( in eastern africa) is the newest country in the world. actually it was a recognized in 1960 by more than 35 countries, however, it get united to the well known somalia. after union, somalilander suffered of bad law, dictatorship and racism from the somalians who ruled the union. so in 1980s somaliland fought somalian troops and freed their country somaliland.

this state is not recognized due to the absence of somalia which could not stand up after the war with somaliland.

somaliland is 100% muslims, yet a free democratic nation.

a made-up country in the north of somalia that is made up of a small group of somalis in somalia that for some odd reason, wants to secede itself from the rest of the country. they only control 2 cities, but at the same time want to take the whole north of the country with them. n-body knows why they are against their country so much, but they only seem to care about their tribe. they are also hypocrites because they claim to be against tribalism, and then at the same time have half of their congress comprised of their tribe.
somaliland is comparable to the confederate states of america ie. they are doomed to failure. they remind me of atlantis

a group of unanimated somali people, that only consider themselves as the best, but really don’t see how foolish they seem. they’ve been brain washed by the older generations, feeding them with the tribe complexity, and regarding theirs as the greatest. you can go up to any european or american and ask them about “somaliland”, chances are they’ll either will not have an idea, or most certainly say they only know of somalia.
