South Vancouver


a condescending or occasionally lighthearted nickname for portland, oregon, which lies to the south across the state border from vancouver, washington, and which together form the portland metro area. typically used by vancouverites, who can consider themselves to live in a suburb of the city. sometimes used when referencing right-wing att-tudes or activities taking place in portland, as vancouver is known to be significantly more conservative than portland.
