this is a movie which should naturally come to an unpleasant yet thought provoking ending, but right when all hope is lost the friendly and benevolent aliens show up to add a happy twist to an otherwise bleak situation. does not always apply to aliens themselves but just the idea of the most improbable happening to save the day.
guy1: i just saw that new movie the ending was so spielbergian.

guy1: exactly, and also bring with them a strong moral message.
