the sh-tty att-tude a stepparent gets from one or more of their spouse’s kids, whether deserved or not (usually not). the stepparent is supposed to just smile and continue being nice, understanding and also to continue contributing to the support of their stepchildren no matter how much or how long they get this kind of treatment.
