from the words “stoner” and “phonics”—is a stoner (dialect, ethnolect, and sociolect) of american english. non-linguists sometimes call it stonics (a term that also has other meanings and connotations). it shares parts of its grammar and phonology with stoners, which is spoken by many people in the united states. several people including tommy chong speak the language of the stoner.
