persons originating from the indian subcontinent or certain countries of south asia (i.e. india, pakistan, nepal, bangladesh, sri-lanka, maldives or bhutan)
“sub-conti” is closely related to, but not synonymous with, “desi”.
desi tends to be a narrower descriptor of persons of indian or pakistani heritage.
all of my fob sub-conti friends seem to like to subst-tute “just” with “only” in sentences. they’ll say stuff like, “i was going down the road, only”.
sub-conti women are quite beautiful…
