most people consider subeta a rip-off at first glance, but in fact it is a lot like world of warcraft. in guild wars, you become used to being mobbed every three seconds, in final fantazy xi, you become used to grinding at it for twelve hours and getting no where. solution? wow.

the same is for subeta in relation to neopets and gaiaonline. in neopets it is slightly easy to aquire gold, the problem being no matter how much you have gotten that day, it won’t matter since you’re still freaking poor. that, and it’s not very social. gaia, however, everything is social-based to aquire money (which is hard to get anyways). the only really way to get a lot of money fast on gaia is to get the donation items, then m-ss-sell them.

subeta is a excellent blend, you can be social on the forums if you feel like it, or you can go be alone doing quests. you have both avatars and pets. it’s easier to get money.

things are the same as neopets? stop freaking whining, if you actually went onto the site you would see they did everything at least three times better. and the pets are cuter.

subeta is a pg-13 virtual pet site. as of now, there are nearly 100,000 members, 51 pet species, 19 different colors available for each pet, and 5000+ items. which is relatively small compared to other leading virtual pet sites. subeta was started by 16-year old keith kurson, and he currently runs subeta with many admins and artists who provide subeta’s items and pets. subeta contains many games, quests, galleries, and shops where sp – subeta points, the currency of subeta – can be spent.

it is a site that is similar to neopets, with some calling it a direct imitation, although it is aimed at a slightly older demographic and has different (and generally more lenient) rules.

you can also upgrade your account by buying a gold account, or ga. they cost $5 and allow you things like extra pet slots, your own avatar, an “autopricer” for your shop, etc. despite common misconception, buying a ga does not give you any in-game money, it only gives you non-profitable perks, and whether or not you have purchased a gold account doesn’t help or hinder you advancing in the game.

a great, open-minded site thats in no way like neopets. while neopets is full of n00bs, scammers, and chatspeakers, subeta is full of open-minded people, who are able to read and write properly.

the site is aimed for kids thirteen and up, therefore the rules are more lenient, and you don’t get frozen as easily.

the pets are better, the items are nicer, and subeta is not so lame as to dress up their pets, and build them imaginary, pointless homes.
subeta can easily be compared to a small, tightly-knit family.
a virtual pet site that currently has close to 100,000 members, but usually only has a height of 600 members on at one time. unlike neopets, subeta has a close knit community, an almost ‘family’ like feel.

the admins have reachable accounts, which you can smail and comment on with any problems regaurding the site, or to simply leve them a comment.

subeta has games, over 50 pets, and tons of friendly users. you can even get in contact with subeta creator keith and apply for a job if you want!

although people claim it’s a direct copy of neopets, there are plenty of other pet sites out there with similar ideas, and considering neopets is the most mainstream and commercial of them all, many other petsites are called ‘clones’ of neopets.

subeta generally has a more approachable admin, more leniant rules regauring the forums, and overall more freedom to do what you wish with your account and with your pets.

contrary to popular belief, buying a gold account, which only cost 5$, does not get you more sp (subeta’s curreny system) all it gets you is more control over your profile, and ten extra quests per day, it also gets you a nifty little trophy and entrance into the ‘gold account forum’ which is basically just a place for gold account users to talk.

and, if you want a gold acoc-nt and don’t want to donate to the site (all profits go to keeping subeta’s servers running, which costs 1000$ a month!) you can simply look for gold account medals in trades. buying one form another user, which usually costs about 500,000 sp, results in the same effects as if you were to donate to the site for one.

and money is very easy to make on subeta– with games like ‘random’ that give you random ammount of money every few hours and quests that sometimes give out items worth 60,000 sp or more, it’s not unusual to see users under one month with a few painted pets of their own.

subeta is a fun petsite aimed at a 13 and up demographic, and i suggest it to anyone who loves petsites and the first ammendment!
user 1: wow, subeta is so leniant, they didn’t send me a warning when i talked about other pet sites in the forums like lots of other pet sites do.

user 2: yeah, subeta has lot’s of ool items, too– and the admins don’t take themselves as seriously as you’d think.

user 3: it’s because, unlike lot’s of commercial virtual pet sites, subeta is run by a group of people that love the site and don’t worry about getting sued or offending people, not by people trying to make money with a pg environment.
subeta is a pet site, the best i’ve ever seen. it does ‘seem’ like a combo between gaia online and neopets. but it’s a h-ll of a lot better. they didn’t steal half the d-mn pets from neopets. it’s a species, there are tons of animals out there. petpets weren’t a rip-off of neopets either, at least subeta didn’t give it such a gay name and they look a h-ll of a lot cooler. the main map is just practicality. how else would we (the users) get to other parts of subeta? by just boring old worded links?

gaia online is just full of g-yl-rds bashing each other endlessly for no reason other than they don’t have the b-lls to deal with people face to face. otherwise they wouldn’t be saying sh-t. gold is way too hard to acquire, you have to scr-pe and scrounge for everything. spend tons of your real money on donation letters just to make a small profit.

subeta is a wonderful community of open-minded people that are very kind. even the admins are nice, i’ve talked to a few of them. you don’t get banned for speaking your mind in the forums at all, hence why they have a ‘debate forum’ and a ‘bragging & complaining’ forum. subeta points (sp) are moderately easy to get. by doing quests (wizard quests), the games, or restocking. and what i think about the cash shop is, they only allow those with a credit card/paypal to purchase things because they don’t want prices to drop dramatically due to over half the people bought out the stuff. that’s how gaia is, and it’s frustrating. no, buying a gold account from the cash shop doesn’t get you sp, just some really nice perks. but if you don’t want to use your irl money on that, then just go to the trades and buy it with sp. they cost around 1 mil – 2.5 mil.

subeta is aimed at the older crowd, 13+. it doesn’t have gayishly smiley pets like neopets, with babyish items. yeah, there is really no point to any petsite out there. but it’s fun, and keeps the boredom bugs away. it’s entertainment, and who doesn’t like to be entertained? i highly recommend subeta to any of those out there with an open mind to try it. and please do so for more than 5 seconds.

so really, i don’t know why people are getting so worked up because subeta has similarities to neopets/gaia. it’s an effing online game, get the h-ll over it and enjoy it while you still can; before the iraqis come and take over the world. jeezus people, seriously….

while people claim they steal everything from neopets this is fiction. everything has an original. this site is just similar.

it has a alright range of items currently at 10,000.
it has about 100,000 members with an average of 1000 online at once.
which makes restock great.
it has friendly members and friendly staff among other things too.

like other pets sites subeta has it’s own little world you can explore.
many places can be seen on the map at subeta.
there are training schools, shops, quests and much more things to visit while browsing the map in subeta.

the pets have a fairly wide selection and outstanding artwork compared to other pet sites.

while the games could be better they do have a few.
nothing with great graphics or skill needed to play, but it is a quick way to earn a few thousand points.

the members and staff on subeta are the most friendly compared to any other pet site. members will sometimes give millions of sp to new uses to just get them started, and even walk them through the site. while other pet sites have sn-bs who think they are ‘1337’. subeta seems to have very few of these people. the staff can also be contacted. the owner himself will take the time to reply to you most times which i respect.

the boards are fair, while people don’t reply as fast as most would like, the boards supply something that other sites like this don’t “freedom”. you can chat about s-x, other sites, random personal things, debate freely etc.. which is a nice change.

it’s a well rounded site with great people. it could use a bit of touch-ups but in a few years it could give sites like neopets a run for it’s money. most longtime members from neopets are converting to subeta anyway.
subeta is a pet site.
it is like having pretend pets.
you also gain status through gaining points.
it’s a multi-player game.
